Max/Lyn's Camper [Flight of the Kiwis] - 4 berth

Hi There Potential Hirer [THE CAMPER IS NOT AVAILABLE at the moment -over the summer up till end of February 2019 till some technical issues are resolved] On past experience, I think I need to use this space to ask somethings of you! Please enquire of us first BEFORE booking our van. It is NOT available in January. The minimum hire is 7 days. We use the van quite often so it is not necessarily available at any particular time.
Also we would like to know a few things about you when you do show some interest- the names and make-up of your party and who would drive, where you are from; your driving experience in manual-drive vehicles. It would be nice to know a rough plan of your trip. And any other details you think would be helpful.

Our van "Flight of the Kiwis" is available for you to getaway as well. We know the South Island very well so we have written up our take on activities you can do on all of the main routes. Quite a few of these are special little places we have found.

4 Berth:- At the rear -- two single beds with bed lights [1.92m and 1.82m - or these beds can be converted to a wide double bed across the van by lowering the table [ one person would use the cabin lighting ].
- At the front -- double bed (Luton) above cab with a bed light [access by ladder];
Both double beds are 6 ft 6 inches = 198cm long.

4 seat belts. Electric heater when connected to power. Diesel heater when no electricity available.
Fully self contained with toilet and hot water shower. Can walk through from the two front seats, through a sizeable kitchen to seating area at the rear. Gas stove and sink.
Plenty of storage for clothes, including a wardrobe. Three large picture windows provide perfect unrestricted views from the rear seating area.[see photo of Lake Rotoroa ]
Double bike rack, camp chairs, fully equipped kitchen - plates and cutlery for 2 or 4 people as required.2 folding umbrellas; Picnic set in a day-pack, includes settings for 4 people.
Very good lighting throughout. Pleasant decor with new curtains and upholstery
Gas alarm ( in unlikely event there is a gas leak)

EXTRA COSTS:- Pick up at airport $35 Drop off at airport $35 [These are free for hires of 14 days or more.
Hirer to pay road user charges for van at $8 per 100 km, payable in cash when van returned

DRIVERS MUST HAVE A LICENCE TO DRIVE MANUAL

To avoid stone chips to paintwork strictly observe speed limits when they are reduced for road works.
No smoking in vehicle
Van returned clean, with black water and grey water dealt with.
Fridge empty and clean
Van to be returned refuelled- both main fuel tank plus auxiliary tank for oil heater

Not to be taken on gravel roads. Not to be taken on roads where a sign advises "not suitable for camper-vans.

The vehicle is insured by the SHAREaCAMPER Insurance.

For this camper the security bond amounts NZD 4,000.00. You can reduce it to NZD 500.00 for per rental day. The bond will be processed through SHAREaCAMPER's secure payment system.
