Description
Gimli (small, persistent and reliable) has proven of great value in our recent tour around the North Island. He has been converted into a self-contained camper for 2 persons, an additional 3rd person can sit in the back (with proper seatbelt). The small seating area can be converted into a large double sleeping area, with separate fold-away for easy access and toilet use. Additional storage space for easy camping is provided in a roof box, which is accessible through the "moon roof".
Gimli has a 25 L freshwater tank (hose provided for refill), chemical toilet (10 L capacity / waste holding tank), as well as a sink with 25 L greywater tank. For camping there is an awning, 2 camping chairs, chilli bin, pillows and bedding, (built-in) gas cooker, and basic kitchen stuff (cutlery, pot, pan, plates, cups, salt, pepper, olive oil, etc...).
Gimli has MDF-sheets to close all windows for more privacy at night, including windscreen and front windows. A car stereo with mp3 option and usb connection offers good music via radio or your electronic device. Two lonely planet travel guides (North & South Island) included, as well as some card games and a Domino. We can in addition rent out a fishing rod or boulder crash pad for a fee of $5 / day, agreement upon pick-up.
Apart from regular maintenance, we`ve recently fitted a new radiator and cambelt; Gimli has tyres in a good condition and snowchains for travelling south or up skifields.
For an additional fee of $25 we can do airport pick up or drop off, also we can store your big suitcases or backpacks, so this does not use up unnessecary space in the camper. We`re happy to provide a detailed introduction (English, German, French), assisted left-hand side driving training (if required), and some inside NZ travel recommendations upon rental.

Pick Up & Drop Off
Please arrange mutually times and Pick Up/Drop Off locations with each other.
Insurance
The vehicle is insured by the SHAREaCAMPER Insurance.
Bond
For this camper the security bond amounts NZD 3,000.00. You can reduce it to NZD 500.00 for per rental day. The bond will be processed through SHAREaCAMPER's secure payment system.
Cancellation Fees
The SHAREaCAMPER booking fee is non-refundable.

90 to 31 days before the Pick-up Date: 25% of the Rental Charges
30 to 8 day before the Pick-up Date: 50% of the Rental Charges
7 to 0 days before the Pick-up Date (including by failing to pick up the Vehicle): 100% of the Rental Charges
